Independent Post: Interview Schedule

Today I contacted my mentor and tried to establish a date for the interview. We didn't establish a specific date but we did manage to narrow it down to some time next week. I will try to schedule the interview as soon as possible but I have to work with my mentor's schedule as well.

Independent post

Today I delivered the senior project packet to the high school that requested it. They said everything should be okay but they just wanted to verify I will use their campus for school purposes only. Also, I'm still waiting on a response from the head coach to allow me to be on the courts. My mentor said he'd say yes but we have to ask before anyone uses the courts. I should get a response within the week.

Blog #5 Project Reflection and Working EQ

The Pentagon:
(1) Positive Statement: What positive thing happen as a result of what you have completed so far?

As of right now, nothing positive has happened to me as a result of what I have completed so far. I suppose one thing would be that I have gained useful information to help me become a better basketball player.

(2) EQ Content: Pick a piece of research or your interview.  How has it helped you improve your understanding of your topic?

Out of the six pieces of research I have acquired this year so far, there is one in particular that was very helpful in helping me understand my topic. The article is called, "How to Take Your Offense to Another Level".

(3) What has worked for you so far in the senior project?

Something that has worked for me this year is asking lots of questions when I'm unclear about something.

(4) What hasn't worked so far?

Something that hasn't worked for me is not going to the library and checking out books on my topic. But I plan to change that.

(5) Finding Value:
  •  What is a potential question you would like to study this year?  (working EQ)
One question I have been thinking of to be my potential working EQ is something along the lines of, "What          makes an All-Star basketball player?
  •  What do you plan to do for mentorship?  If you haven't found a mentor yet, then discuss where you are currently looking and who you are talking to to find it.
I plan to mentor one of my prior basketball coaches. He has already agreed to mentor me.
